Rióna Ní Fhrighil

Rióna Ní Fhrighil is from Ulster. She has a BA International from the National University of Ireland, Galway, an MPhil from Trinity College, Dublin and a PhD from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She is now a lecturer in Irish at NUI Galway.

She has a particular interest in the contemporary poetry of English and Irish, in sociolinguistics, in travel literature in both Irish and German, in critical theory and in applied linguistics. She has compiled a multi-author collection of essays about critical theory called Filíocht chomhaimseartha na Gaeilge (Cois Life, 2008).
