Michael Cronin

Rugadh Michael Cronin i mBaile Átha Cliath sa bhliain 1960. Fuair sé BA ó Choláiste na Tríonóide (1982), MA ó University College, Dublin (1986) agus PhD. ó Choláiste na Tríonóide (1991). Chaith sé tréimhse ag múineadh in ollscoileanna sa Fhrainc, ag léachtóireacht sa Bhéarla in Université François Rabelais ó 1982 go 1983 agus in École Normale Supérieure ó 1983 go 1984. Chaith sé bliain ina léachtóir le Fraincis i gColáiste Phádraig, Droim Conrach sular thosaigh sé in Ollscoil Chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath sa bhliain 1986.

Ar na gradaim a bronnadh air agus na duaiseanna atá buaite aige, tá an Prix du Québec a bhuaigh sé in 2002; ollúnacht oinigh a bhronn Universidad Ricardo Palma, Peiriú air sa bhliain 2001; agus duais CATS Vinay Darbelnet a bhuaigh sé don leabhar, Across the lines (Cork University Press, 2000) in 2001.
