Donla uí Bhraonáin

Donla uí Bhraonáin was born and raised in Dublin. She has a BA in Celtic Studies in University College Dublin and an MA in Communications from DCU. She has spent many years translating from English to Irish and editing in Irish. She worked as a lecturer and terminologist with Fiontar, DCU from 1994 to 2008 when she retired. Cois Life published her quadrilingual collection of proverbs 500 Seanfhocal, Proverbs, Refranes, Przyslow in 2007. Her bilingual work Paidreacha na Gaeilge was published in 2009 and in 2010 Cois Life published the new edition of Tomás Ó Máille’s Seanfhocla ChonnachtLeabhar laethanta (Cois Life, 2013), a book of days of Irish culture and history, is her latest work.
